Pride love of self or desire to control one's own life and the lives of others is a manifestation of this excessive self-regard and belief in one's own superiority, which places the individual above God or others.
(Pray for Humility)
Pride: (love & gentleness) of God and others (humility)
Lust intense desire, usually for sexual pleasure, but also for money, power or fame
(Pray for Chasity)
Lust: (Joy & Peace) in gratitude for what you have from God (chastity of heart)
Wrath Anger uncontrolled feelings of hatred or rage. Anger is a desire for revenge.
(Pray for Patience)
Wrath/Anger: (patience) God judges righteously
Envy sadness or desire for the possessions, happiness, talents or abilities of another
(Pray for Kindness)
Envy: (kindness) (we all have gifts given by God, he chooses who gets what)
Avarice or Greed the desire for and love of possessions.
(Pray for Generosity)
Greed: (goodness) to others (generosity) all you have was gift from God, it’s not yours.
Sloth physical laziness, also disinterest in spiritual matters or neglecting spiritual growth
(Pray for Discipline)
Sloth: faithfulness to duties (discipline)
Gluttony overconsumption, usually of food or drink
(Pray for abstinence or self restraint)
Gluttony: self-control (temperance)
