Luke 14:26-27, 33
“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.
So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.
To be a disciple of Christ:
Christ must be EVERYTHING - No equal
Hate all other relationships in comparison
Hate even this life here and give up all for the life to come.
Must bear the Cross - the pains of this life living amongst sin, depravity, and wickedness.
FORSAKE all things (any people, places, or things-even my own life) and Live for Christ!
