READ

Luke 13:35-35

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’”

REFLECT

Jesus is grieved. He is sad that the people he came to save, kills and stones the prophets for telling the truth. The people do not want to hear truth. They want sin more than deliverance. Jesus wants to gather and protect them but they are unwilling. Jesus is willing, but he does not force. They fight his teachings. He leaves them in their choice and they are destroying themselves.

PRAY

Oh my God, please do not leave me in my choice of sin that kills my soul! When I don’t have the power to give you my life, please take it. I do not want to live in sin. I want deliverance. I want truth, even if it hurts me! Sin will kill me worse than hurtful healing words of remedy! I know I cannot see my sin without your grace. Open my eyes, show me what needs to be changed. Heal my heart and soul! Save me from me!! Amen.
