Luke 7:47-48, 50
For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.” Then He said to her, “Your sins have been forgiven.” Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
I may be a wretched sinner!
So love love love!
If you love GOD, you will be forgiven. (Do what he commands-love Him and your neighbor)
Jesus says to me, Julie, because of your love for me, your sins have been forgiven.
Jesus says to me, Julie, your faith has saved you, go in peace. (I have believed and accepted the gift of faith - have peace, I will carry you home)
Thank you my God. Thank you for giving me the love that changes my heart. Thank you for forgiving my sin because I believed you and choose to love you back! Help me Savior stay close to you. Help me love you and others with this love you have poured into my heart. Thank you for forgiveness of my sin, help me walk in your ways so my soul is healed. Thank you for the gift of peace knowing you will carry me home. It is all GRACE!
Luke 8:5-8
“The sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell beside the road, and it was trampled under foot and the birds of the air ate it up. And other seed fell on rock and as soon as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. And other seed fell among the thorns, and when the thorns grew up with it, they choked it out. And other seed fell into the good soil; and growing up, it produced a crop one hundred times as great.” As He said these things, He would call out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
God throws his seed everywhere!!! He is not a stingy farmer. He is not worried about being thrifty with the seeds. He is getting it to the world. And he even sends his people to throw the seed everywhere too with him.
Trampled: people are not even noticing that he is talking, that he is the giver of all good in their life, that he is the sustainer of all things, they cannot breath without his attention and care. He is their creator and they do not acknowledge his existence.
Rock: people that know God exists, but they want to live like he does not, think he is far away, they do not want to know him. Even hate him.
Thorns: people who know God is active in the earth and even in their life, know he is speaking, know he has given commands, but want their way more than his.
Good Soil: people who know God exists, that he loves and wants the best for people, who want to know and love him back, who believe his commands will heal their soul, want to obey because they believe he is a Good and Loving Father wanting to help them grow into what humanity was supposed to be. (God is the grace giver, the harvest depends on how much we yield to his action)
Christ Jesus, thank you for the seeds you scatter to the entire world. We are responsible for responding. Please help me by your grace! I want to be a person who receives seed in good soil! I want to love and obey you. I want to be your daughter. Help me live the new life you have offered. I accept and ask for the grace to persevere in submitting to your action and producing a harvest for your glory! Amen.
