Live 4 The LORD

READ

Luke 12:45-46

But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

REFLECT

I am a believer and a servant of God

If my heart changes and my desire for other things aside from watching and waiting for the master starts, I could fall. 

The master may come when I am in the midst of doing other things instead of watching and waiting in grace. 

If that happens I could be appointed the same fate as unbelievers. 

Keep my eyes and my heart diligently waiting for him and serving him! This is safety. 

PRAY

Jesus, help me keep my heart! Help me watch over and root out any desires contrary to your will. Help me see when I am looking at other things that could lead my heart astray. You want me with you. I must choose. Thank you for loving me and warning me so I can be vigilant. Amen.

I Corinthians 1:1-9

Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

REFLECT

Paul, an apostle of Jesus is telling me I am part of the church of God! I am sanctified in Christ. I am called to be a saint. I have been given grace and peace by the Father, through the son Jesus the Christ. I have been enriched in everything in word and knowledge by the testimony of Christ that was confirmed in me. I have no shortage of gifts. I am eagerly watching and waiting for Jesus my Lord. Jesus will confirm me to the end! Jesus will make me blameless on the day of the Lord. GOD IS FAITHFUL to me who He called into fellowship with His Son Jesus, The Christ, my Lord!

 

PRAY

Thank you Father for calling me into fellowship with Jesus. Thank you Father for being faithful! 

Thank you for the gifts! I am now:

Church of God

Sanctified IN CHRIST

Called to be a saint

Given Grace and Peace

I have been enriched in word & knowledge

I am lacking no gift!

Jesus will confirm me to the end. 

I will be blameless on the Day of the Lord. 

Thank you my God for this amazing love. Help me walk In You! Help me keep my eyes on you. Help me know you will never leave me. Help me not listen to the liar! Thank you for your Calling & Faithfulness! Amen.
