  1. God is in control of all things (sovereign divine plan)

God is omnipotent (all-powerful), that God is omniscient (all-knowing), and that God is omnibenevolent (all-loving and desires the eternal best for all people).

  1. Man does not contribute to his salvation (gifts: grace, repentance, and faith all from God)

Radical depravity: every aspect of our being is affected by the fall, and renders us incapable of saving ourselves or even of wanting to be saved. Romans 3:11 Every aspect of man is separated from God. In this state of depraved separation from God (sin nature), humans do not even know God exists if merely left to our own devices.

  1. God is author and completer of salvation (he chooses to give the gifts when how and why)

Sovereign election: God desires the salvation of all, yet accentuates that our salvation is not based on us choosing God, but on God choosing us (I John 4:19).

  1. Individual election is unconditional (not by foreseen cooperation or by merit-but by his will)

  1. The believer is eternally secure in Christ (justified in the state of grace by faith {active-not dead faith})

Eternal life: the believers enjoy a transformed life that is preserved, and we are given a faith which will remain. (John 10:28-29)

  1. God is not the author of sin (common grace to all to choose to reject sin-most reject the Grace)

Mankind is without excuse because we do not have to resist what God has made clear (Romans 1:18-20)

  1. God desires the salvation of all people (gives grace to know he is-ability to seek if they want, salvation to those he chose)

God, in His love for all people, provides amazing prevenient grace to all people (Romans 1:20), writing the law on the human heart (Romans 2:15), conviction of the Holy Spirit (John 16:8-9), and draws all men (John 12:32). This is commonly referred to as “common grace.”

  1. Christ died for all people (over and abundantly provided redemption for anyone)

Singular redemption: Christ died, sufficiently for every person, although efficiently only for those who believe. (John 3:18)

  1. God’s grace is resistible (can reject common grace, efficient grace is irresistible love)

Overcoming grace: it is God‘s persistent, beckoning and drawing that overcomes our wicked obstinacy (John 16:8). God’s work of salvation is monergistic, yet resistible. (Luke 7:30) (Acts 8:51)

  1. At crucial times human have the ability to choose (we have ability to choose when awakened by grace (common or efficient): if sin, mind gets darkened-if obedience, more grace)

If one does not reject or continually resist the grace and revelation God provides them, then God will continually provide more and more.
