I am personally responsible for following the LORD alone not a man
Moses gave the worship rules for Israel.
The Catholic Church gives the worship rules to Christians(The Eucharist, Baptism, Faith, Grace, Being in Christ, and the Scriptures)
I am to listen to what God says.
I am to ask the Lord for the right direction.
I am to obey HIM even at the cost of leaders and my own person.
I am to KNOW the WORD! This is how God talks to me!
It’s not legalism. It’s a Love relationship. He knows best for my soul. He came to save from sin (all idolatry killing my soul)
I am responsible for my soul. I am to follow God alone!!
I cannot let any idol above God, including even the church itself, Mary, or any Saint. God wills to be my All in All.
Salvation is by Grace through Faith and the works God gives me to do for His Glory.
Love God with all that I am because He loved me with All that He is!
- Caleb and Joshua listened and the others were denied entry (all older Israel)
- The judges all thought what was best in their own eyes and Israel was in darkness. Were not asking God for direction.
- Saul was told what to do he disobeyed and led others too
- David stood firm in obedience even though head wrong
- Israel’s leaders all corrupt the prophets tried to bring back to God
- The Jews all were going astray because they were legalistic and taught the people legalistic
- The Catholics quit listening to God and go astray. (All leaders have at one time or another corrupted. Has the spirit left leadership? Each man responsible for following the Word!
- I am responsible for me following HIM or I too will be cut off.
- Lots of superstition in the church and charms instead of Faith in God.
- Hiding behind other idols like Mary and Saints, and even the church instead of tight relationship with Father, Son, and Spirit.
