My Lectio Divina: Psalm 44:3

for not by their own sword did they win the land,

nor did their own arm save them,

but your right hand and your arm,

and the light of your face,

for you delighted in them.

{All that I have in this world is a gift from you my God, my breath, my body, my relationships, my work, my education, my food, my clothes, my lodging, my money. God you gave me all that stuff in this land. I am powerless without you God sustaining me. You are the one that is continually saving and sustaining my life, it is your constant attention and light of your face to me that I continue to live, You are watching over me at every moment. You delight in me as your creation and child. 

It astounds me to think that you delight in me and that you never let your eyes depart from me to keep me in being. I am amazed at all the gifts you have given me. I forget that I am a clay jar and that all I have is actually a gift from you, not something I can do alone. My pride disgusts me and I am humbled beneath your gaze and awesome gifts. Thank you God for your love and care. Please keep creating me into the person you made me to be. Help me not fight your grace for selfish gain, but to be a child of You, the Most High Almighty Righteous God! Amen!}

My Lectio Divina: Psalm 44:6

Rise up; come to our help!

Redeem us for the sake of your steadfast love!

{You God are the only one that can help. Please rise up and see my plight. See my broken mind and heart in this dark place I am walking through to You. Redeem me, make me new, not because of me for I am full of sin. Only because of your steadfast love. You loved me into being and delight in creating. Keep creating me into the new person you wanted me to be. You loved all you have made. You can redeem the broken into whole, all because of your love not looking at my deeds. 

Your amazing love looks past our sins because you can heal our hearts. All evil can be overcome through your love and healing grace. Help me God want to be free from sin and give up trying to practice it. Help me allow grace in my soul to obey your amazing laws that heal our souls and make us new. Thank you for your endless and steadfast love that never gives up on us! Save me!}

My Lectio Divina: Psalm 45:4

In your majesty ride out victoriously

for the cause of truth and meekness and righteousness;

let your right hand teach you awesome deeds!

{You are Majestic! You are Victorious! You love, truth, meekness, and righteousness! Teach me my God! Open my soul to accept these ways of life. You win us over for in your meekness, you came as a baby! You won victory over evil and death! You are Majestic and are seated in Heaven mediating for me! Help me love your truth! Truth is the way to save my soul. Your righteousness teaches us what real living is. Help me God!

Thank you  for wanting me to be healed! Thank you for wanting me to know truth and live righteously. This is the way to save my eternal soul! I’m not by grace, help me cooperate!}

My Lectio Divina: Psalm 45:6-7a

Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.

The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness;

you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness.

{You are Ruler and King! You never end! You have the one and only Kingdom that is eternal. This kingdom has a scepter. This scepter is Righteousness! You are sitting on your throne high and lifted up above all created things, including time. You are even outside of time. The way into the kingdom is to see that you need to give up wickedness. Only righteousness rules in this kingdom of yours. If I choose wickedness I am not allowed into the kingdom of righteousness which is the only kingdom that is eternal life. 

Thank you God for wanting me to be with you forever. You love me so much you are willing to change my soul by grace to be righteous so I can be with you forever! Help me say yes and let you do it! Amen}

My Lectio Divina: Psalm 46:1-2

God is our refuge and strength,

a very present help in trouble.

Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,

though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,

{God is the only refuge. You are the only person that knows, sees, and can guide through all things! You also are my strength! Only you can empower to live through anything. You are present everywhere at all times! You are the I Am. I must not fear anything happening in this earth around me. You are with me and will never leave me. I must cling to you, hide in you, call out for strength! It’s not so much my body it’s my soul!! My soul will live forever. My body will die and I will get a new one. The soul is eternal and I can hide it in you regardless of my circumstances!

Thank you God for being everywhere so I can be sure you are with me. You can help me. You can strengthen me. You are my everything! My soul is safe in you. I must be willing to guard it in your ways so that it is not led astray. Help me God stay close by your own strength. In all my circumstances you will give me help to keep my soul if I run to you! Thank you!}
